I photographed this wedding on June 7, 2008. As I pulled up the dirt road to the barn and rustic farmhouse guests were arriving and I went to the farm house where the bride was about to get dressed.
It was over 90 degrees and quite hot. The sun was bright and
the wind was 30 knots out of the southAs you can see a few photos to give a taste of the day.
Electronic fill lighting is used to reduce harsh shadows, but with an eye towards
minimizing any artificiality of mixed light sources.
I told my client we have a mix of hard light, strong wind and
beautiful views. We need to make photographic memories that honor the Vermont
day at it's best, do we not?
The evening's sunset was one of the most spectacular, electro-neon like I have ever seen.
Some very unique things happened during the day and evening and I was contstantly on my feet working the camera and croud to capture the story.
The photos at the end of the barn and friends reading to the bride and groom were taken at dusk using an ISO of 1600.
